Our Vocalists
CURTIS COOK (bass) has performed extensively both in the United States and Europe with musical theatre and opera companies. Most recently he sang the part of Sarastro in Mozart’s The Magic Flute with the Krakow Opera. Mr. Cook holds voice degrees from Oklahoma City University and Indiana University where he studied with Giorgio Tozzi.
ROB FREDRICK (tenor) is a family practice physician and the Vice President of Medical and Academic Affairs for the Toledo Hospital. He also serves on the faculty of its residency training program. Prior to beginning the long process of medical training, Dr. Fredrick studied voice at Adrian College. He has enjoyed brushing off his vocal skills again for this performance.
CELESTA KIRK (mezzo-soprano) is currently a student of Mr. Kenneth Bozeman at Lawrence University in Wisconsin, where she is pursuing a degree in music education. Only through divine intervention, involving live chickens at a bed and breakfast, did Celesta come to meet and study voice with Sarah Dionne, who then persuaded Celesta to attend her alma mater in frozen Wisconsin. When Celesta is not away at school, she lives with her parents and two sisters in Maumee. Currently she is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Maumee.
DAWN SPAETTI (soprano) is a graduate of Indiana University, where she studied with Virginia Zeani and has subsequently taught as an adjunct voice professor. Dawn's career in opera and oratorio has included performances with numerous opera companies and orchestras across the country, including San Francisco Opera's Merola young artist program and Western Opera Theatre touring company. Her oratorio experience has taken her to Weill recital hall at Carnegie Hall with the New York Oratorio Society, as well as performances with various organizations including Princeton University, Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra and the Columbus Philharmonic. Residing near Bloomington, Indiana, Dawn is now blessed to be pursuing the career of wife to Adam and mother to Cynthia, Samuel, Mary Ella and Olivia.
